

These are a few of my favourite paintings i just found while doing some spring cleaning. They were in an old blog post too i think feb 2008. I thought I would post them again for all to see.
I remember painting the whole background black first, and then sketching the figure. After I painted all the colors and used the black for the outline. I used to paint like that many years ago, but found that the colors were muted a bit from the black underneath. Looking back, I think the colors are bright and vivid. I might start a series of these ones. These were done on heavy bristol acid free board, but I think I will do the next ones on canvas ready to hang. I just love them.

om my gosh, i do too, I remember painting them thinking.....what in the world.....and when i do them again on canvas....i am going to paint a frog instead of the girl....I think she almost looks like a frog...haha
