I was walking home from school with my daughter the other day, and she said to me "What if you were a mermaid?" I said, " Then you would have to tow me around in a water filled wagon."
She giggled and laughed all the way home and we made up more silly things to think about. I am going to compose them altogether and make a book out of them. In the meantime I am kicking around the idea of selling small original illustrations for $10.00 in my etsy shop, just to get some sales rolling in. Hope you like the illustration, and just in time for Mothers day.

A book is a wonderful idea!
I keep a little book with all the daft but cute things my kids say to me, and also all the words they couldn't pronounce when they were younger ;)

I love it! It's a fabulous idea. What fun to be a mermaid :]
Wonderful. It gave me such a giggle, remembering silly conversations with my own two kiddos.
Coming to your blog for the first time and have to say what a delightful visit it was! Love your art work!

Love your mermaid in the wagon! Great story idea....
I thought about writing one about a mermaid who collected shoes... but of course could not wear any of them :( Hey - did you ever get your monkey cards I sent? Hope they made it there safe and sound! :) - Kim

Cute illustration!
I have an award for you at my blog, if you want to pick it up. I know how time-consuming they can be, but you do deserve it.
