Hi,
I just love the computer almost and I say ALMOST as much as I do real paint. Sometimes I get lost on here and spend literally hours surfing and learning new techniques.
I have always wanted to create portraits with illustrator..I used to see them done in paintshop but I loved the crispness and hand drawn shapes you can do in vector, not to mention the depth you can get with gradients....I haven't gotten there yet...so I downloaded a similar program and played around with it. I watched a few tutorials on youtube (an invaluable source for so many things) and taught myself how. Here are my first attempts.

Being the first time, very good! I try the illustrator and it was torture!
These are fabulous! I have yet to try this medium, because unlike you, I haven't taken the time to study the different programs - but your work is very inspiring - do you hire yourself out as a tutor?! :)
