Sometimes Mistakes Can Be Wonderful!
I can't tell you how many times I started and stopped this painting. I thought I'd ruined it when I put the first tissue paper on with modge podge and it started to peel every time I painted on it. I'd given up and put it away and worked on it every so often to try out different techniques I had seen on tutorials and in books. I tried different pens, and inks and watercolors, watercolour pencils, india ink, gel pens and acrylic paint. After about five or six times of working on it, I decided it was actually going somewhere. So lesson learned.....sometimes it's worth just letting it go and sit somewhere and let it be, till the next time. I find that I rush through trying to create something in the alloted time I give myself, only to end up with something that was rushed and finished! So.......now I will take my time and be patient and end up with something I am really happy with!

She's gorgeous! I agree, sometimes I rush through a painting just to get it done. Taking your time is so worth it!
I love this! So magical...this would be beautiful in a little girls room:)
This is gorgeous--it was worth taking the time, and I love your other piece with paper towels too.
Lovely texture! I found that the paint seems to take longer to dry on the tissue paper. Glad you stuck with this i'ts a lovely piece!!
